WHAT'S UP NOVEMBER

November 30, 2015

I guess this month counts as one of the busiest month for architecture students, especially for us arki council officers. It's the beginning of the second semester and the preparation for the National Architecture Week (NAW) celebration. We have to multi-task and manage our time wisely to get all the work done on time. We know we'll be getting busier as each day will pass and our time will mostly be  for our school works and NAW preparation .

And to somehow relax our minds a bit from all the things going on,  during one of our lunch break we the took the chance to go somewhere far from the city, to eat. haha and so we went to Sulu Garden in Miag-ao haha I don't know, It was actually an impulsive decision but we went for it anyways and It was actually one of the best decisions we've made. Since picking where to eat is always a problem. I know most of you would understand this especially when you're with your barkada.

We ate lunch and went back on the road since we still have class after. But we had stop by in Tigbauan to take pictures, para Squad Goals daw. Only then we realized that we were already late for our planning class and so by the time we got to school we just decided not to go (note: do not follow haha).

The trip was really spontaneous and I didn't expect that
it would be so much fun. All I could say now is that it was worth it. sa uulitin ! :)

P.S I'll be posting our "Squad Goals" pictures next :)

DAILY DOSE # 1

November 8, 2015

Don't let not knowing how it'll end keep you from beginning. Uncertainty chases us out in to
the open where life's true magic is waiting.

FINALLY

November 5, 2015

Finally done with the first semester and today I just got officially enrolled for the second sem.
That means I am half way through my third year as an architecture student, and I should tell you that
it's not getting any easier. I've heard and read from various sources that this is actually the busiest (hardest?) time in this 5 year course. And so far, I've experienced sleep deprivation for more than 24 hours. so yes! I heard the truth and I've actually accepted this ever since.
I've put in a lot of time and effort since day 1, and I just can't give up that easy. I've always had my mind set that we should always be on the positive side, even if its you against the world. Nothing and no one can stop you from reaching your goals especially when you're so close to finding out what's on the other side of the rainbow. All you need is to set aside all the negativity and have the right attitude, and you'll be on the right path.  ;)

TINKERED

October 30, 2015

I've always wanted to buy these L.E.D lights and put it somewhere in my room. I was actually inspired of photos from pinterest, instagram and tumblr. But I don't know why I didn't get one 'til we needed lights for our design model. We bought two boxes, one for the miniature and one for my room And since we only took a few bulbs for the model, Elmer fixed the rest of it and gave it to me. :)
When I first tried my lights, this happened. haha I ended up having a photoshoot inside my room.
I didn't have a remote shutter for my camera so I just used the timer. Just imagine me trying to compose and prep myself in my position after clicking the shutter button. #TheEffort
I actually did a lot of work for this shoot and I don't mind doing this again. But I guess next time I'll prepare for it. For a proper funshoot with a more creative/decent photos and of course, someone to share the fun with. ;)
oh yeah, I didn't completely forget what I was supposed to work on. Soooo...

tadaaah!
This is it, my tinkered room project. I'm really happy I had the time to do this. Hope I can do a lot of stuff like this next time and if ever I tried a new one, I'll definitely share it here.

so what do you think? :)

LAST FRIDAY NIGHT

October 4, 2015

When I actually had time not to worry about anything else besides losing in an ipad game.

CALM BEFORE THE STORM

September 20, 2015

Finally, Midterm exams are over. but our workload still as heavy as before. haha ohwell! thanks to sundays we get to rest for  a bit (an hour or two haha) and recharge for another busy week. Not to mention that we've just started our OJT yesterday for Heritage Conservation.

Things to do/finish:

[] Finish Building Tech Plate
[] Finish Design: Plans
[] Prepare for Design Presentation
[] Work on our mock up model

I guess hell week isn't over after all. haha I'm currently taking a break from all the worries and trying to relax my mind (even just for a few minutes) before I start working again. All work and no play, is not healthy guys. Don't forget to rest and have fun from time to time. It could really help with the nerves and all.

hopefully after this I would have more time to blog, but for now i'll just leave this here and I guess I'll see you soon!

                                                               Happy Sunday everyone! :)

WAKE ME UP WHEN SEPTEMBER ENDS

September 14, 2015

14th day of September, and I honestly can't wait for this month to pass, hence the post title.hahaha It's our midterm exams this week, but ever since day 1 we're already loaded with design and building tech plates, quizzes, presentations, proposals and a lot more. Which is actually usual for architecture students, especially during this time of the semester. When workloads just keeps on adding and piling up. And your time management skills is badly needed. It's hard, but I guess with determination, discipline and passion, we can all do it. Kayang kaya natin 'to! It's just a matter of believing in ourselves that we can do it, no matter how stressed and sleep deprived we may be. :)
I wanted to somehow do something else before I start to face my textbooks again. I don't know how, but for me blogging somehow relieves stress, and It's actually doing its magic right now. haha

So now, let me tell you a bit about this photoshoot, or what I actually call a "Fun-shoot".
Although I'm not really aiming to be a fashion blogger (maybe someday?) or having a legit fashion blog, but there's something with dressing up and having fun shoots that really excites me. I've done a few  during summer breaks, free time or whenever something comes up and we need to dress fancy. haha and the thought of blogging it here makes it more fun and thrilling.

As you can see I'm not an expert on this (yet). I TRIED to pose seriously and stuff, but it always end up looking awkward, So I just do whatever. hahaha
During fun shoots it's 5% serious and 95% craziness. I don't mind doing it again. haha
Do expect for more outfit post from time to time, cause there's a lot more where this came from. ;)

before I log out and start studying, let me share to you one of my favorite inspirational quotes.

"Just don't give up trying to do what you really want to do, where there is love and inspiration, I don't think you can go wrong." -Ella Fitzgerald

SUBIC 2015

August 31, 2015

On our last day at subic before we finally pack our bags and fly back to the city of love, We had the privilege to enjoy the amenities of the resort. We tried almost everything and had a lot of fun. if only we could've stayed longer. hahaha oh well, next time we'll make sure to extend at least a day or two.

NATCON 2015: SUBIC

August 30, 2015

We arrived at the resort past 5 in the afternoon. We were really tired and hungry since we travelled straight to subic after our team building without stop overs. It's a good thing we ate a little bit before hitting the road.
Here's one of the views of Whiterock Resort. We got a little hyped when we saw this, but we were more excited to fill our tummies.haha So when we arrived we immediately went to our designated rooms and started to get ready for the evening event, the welcome dinner.
Coachella inspired welcome dinner :)
USA Chapter delegates with Ar. Mike Guerrero

after the dinner, we all had our own agendas. Some went back to their rooms, while others stayed at the beach front. We went strolling first, until we decided to hang out in our rooms and played games till we got knocked out. haha more like charging for energy for the next day's events.

Which was fully loaded with competitions, seminars, and for the evenings event, the Filipiniana themed awards night.

Elmer joined the structural competition and won 2nd place. I'm so proud! :)
There was also Mr. and Ms. UAPSA during the awards night and these are our representatives for Area C.
USA chapter delegate, Nong Leomel!

family picture daw. Sorry this is the clearest one I got. haha

Our last night in Subic didn't just end there, cause the fun continued during the After Party at the beach front! and the only thing that I could say is that, It was an amazing ( or should I say, crazy?) night. haha

What happened in Subic, Stays in Subic ;)

UAPSA 22nd National Congress Delegates

We all had a great time and the experiences will never be forgotten. We learned and met new friends.
We began to understand that as young as we are, we can already do big things. We still have a lot to learn and this is only the beginning. But I know with passion and determination ,(and coffee haha) we will be able to reach our goals, especially as future architects.
